In the fall of 2003 SLR moved to its present location at the Martin Avenue Community Centre on Graham Street. Originally an elementary school, and later a resource centre for School District #23, the building was purchased by the City of Kelowna and leased to the Boys and Girls Club (BGC). SLR now enjoys a close relationship with the BGC as a sub-tenant, though the two organisations are in no way affiliated.

Since 2003 SLR has funded extensive renovations to create two classrooms, an office and a members’ lounge. New furnishings and up-to-the-minute Internet and audio-visual facilities create an enjoyable learning environment. The building is fully accessible. For larger speaker and social events access is provided to the BGC gym. The office is staffed by a part-time office manager and bookkeeper, with all other management and administrative functions handled by the board of directors and a dedicated corps of volunteers.
