In the fall of 2003 SLR moved to its present location at the Martin Avenue Community Centre on Lawson Avenue. Originally an elementary school, and later a resource centre for School District #23, the building was purchased by the City of Kelowna and leased to the Boys and Girls Club (BGC). SLR now enjoys a close relationship with the BGC as a sub-tenant, though the two organisations are in no way affiliated.

Since 2003 SLR has funded extensive renovations to create two classrooms, an office and a members’ lounge. New furnishings and up-to-the-minute Internet and audio-visual facilities create an enjoyable learning environment. The building is fully accessible and classes are wired for hearing assistance. For larger speaker and social events access is provided to the BGC gym. The office is staffed by a part-time office manager and bookkeeper, with all other management and administrative functions handled by the board of directors and a dedicated corps of volunteers.
